Hi ! I'm Mrs. Fly. I've taught for nearly 20 years at Birch Elementary School. I began my career as a substitute teacher working with teachers and students all over the Vallivue School District. Finally, I decided to start teaching a class of my own. With the support of my husband and family, I returned to school to earn my teaching degree. I graduated from BSU in 2002. I received my Masters Degress in Reading K-12 in 2009 from NNU. I taught 2nd grade for two years, 3rd grade for eight years, and have loved teaching fourth grade since 2012. My favorite part about teaching fourth grade is seeing students develop their writing skills and learning more about Idaho History.
My husband, David and I, have three sons (Bridger, Chase, Jedd) and three identical triplet daughters (Kylie, Lisa, Megan). With that we are blessed with wonderful son in-laws and daughter-in-laws and 14 grandchildren! Every other summer we gather at the Oregon Coast to play, laugh, and eat together. We love it! One son and his family are missing from this picture.
My son, Chase and his family, had the opportunity to live in France for four years. My mother is French, so it has been a great gift for him to meet family and reconnect with our French heritage. I was grateful to be able to join him in some of his travels and also make precious connections with relatives that once seemed so far away. All of Chase's family can now speak French well, so we are grateful for this experience. It has helped to bridge the gap between our American and French families. I am happy to say that Chase and his family will once again live in America beginning in August of 2021. Bravo !
