🤗
We kicked off our 3D: What Do You See? unit with a little puzzling, a lot of thinking, and some serious brainpower! We got hands-on with tangrams, twisting, turning, and puzzling their way through challenges that put their spatial reasoning skills to the test.Â
Take a peek behind the scenes as they discover that sometimes, all it takes is a new perspective to see things differently!
We started our new Unit: Thinking in 3D: What do you See? Students got a great start working with Tangrams and creating a forced perspective photo. What a great way to play with distance, size, and alignment. Check out their final products.Â
To wrap up our Kinetic Engineering Unit, students put all of their research & knowledge to the test by creating their own automatons. It was a busy day from start to finish, we hope you enjoy the behind the scenes and a demonstration of their final projects!

Students put their research skills to the test to find out more about some of the most famous Automata out there. They then took on the role of director, writer, and voice actor to create their own documentaries. I hope you learn some amazing things from their videos. Â
What do you get with a vocab word, some technology, and a whole lot of creativity? Animated Vocab GIFs! Check out the student work. Can you guess what word it represents?
We explored the fascinating world of cams as part of our Kinetic Engineering Unit. Through hands-on exploration centers, students investigated how different cam shapes and mechanisms can transform motion and create unique movements.
From observing the mechanics in action to experimenting with different designs, students were challenged to notice patterns, ask questions, and think like engineers. 🔧💡
We are starting strong in our Kinetic Engineering Unit. Students learned about the Law of Conservation of Energy and how energy transfers to other forms. With a strong focus on kinetic energy and elastic and gravitational potential energy, students experimented and captured some awesome energy transfers in a slow motion video. Check out their amazing work!
