Weather was beautiful as we enjoyed our last day together! We released the trout, went to the Fisheries research center, had some time to fish and enjoy nature, had a picnic lunch, and toured the fish hatchery. It was a busy day! Thank you to all of our parent volunteers and Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited / Idaho Chapter of American Fisheries Society for sponsoring our field trip.
5th graders were randomly given a verb to describe type of movement their animal had to make. After buiding the motor configuration, they then had to turn it into an animal in a zoo habitat using only lego bricks and construction paper. Check out their creativity in the video below.
Fifth graders showed their creativity by designing their own board games. Students tested the games to see if the instructions were clear enough and then rated the playability of the games. There were some AMAZING games in the room! They should be real games - Wow! Take a peek into the game testing festivities in the video below.
Some of our esteemed 4th graders wrote books that were selected as exceptional. They were able to go into the first grade classes at Birch and read them aloud. Way to go authors!
Students studied the neurology, physiology, and psychology of fear during a busy hyperdoc day. Check out their projects below.
