5th graders with a partner had to create a mint roller in 12 minutes. They also had to use that time to test and modify their designs. The only materials they were given were two skewer sticks (broken in 1/2), 2 popsicle sticks, 3X5 cards, 2-4 lifesaver mints and 12 inches of tape. Watch their creativeness as they come up with new Mint Rollers. Then watch as they test them.
Here is the link to watch the 5th graders Scratch games! For many it was the first time they have coded their own game. Enjoy their creativity! Click HERE

Students had 2 weeks to create a rollercoaster with a theme for a specific age group. They had a budget of $30 to buy materials with and had to record the modifications they made during their construction. Enjoy!
Seven 5th grade students whose Children's books on overcoming fear - were chosen to go read their stories to the First and Second grades of West Canyon Elementary today! As this was Dr. Seuss week - it was perfect timing as the students wowed their audiences with stories of bravery and courage!
Our students created a claymation video focused on the theme of friendship. Enjoy watching their amazing creativity!

CHESS
We had a guest Chess expert come in and teach Chess lessons to our 5th graders! It was a hit! Thank you Mr. Levanger!!
We had a blast going on the Field Trip with our Fabulous 5th graders! We sent our trout along into the adventurous waters of Wilson Pond, learned about the aging of fish at the research center from the experts, practiced casting, the art of Gyotaku, toured the hatchery, and did a little fishing in the wind!
