Academic Challenge Scholarships (Lottery Scholarship)
The Academic Challenge Program provides scholarships to Arkansas residents pursuing a higher education. Funded in large part by the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery, the Academic Challenge Scholarship is available to students regardless of their academic status, whether just graduating from high school, currently enrolled in college, enrolling in college for the first time, or re-enrolling after a period of time out of college.

Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship
The Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship is the most academically rigorous scholarship program offered for those graduating seniors scoring either 32 on the ACT or 1410 on the SAT, and a 3.50 academic grade point average. Those who are named National Merit Finalists or National Achievement Scholars may qualify without meeting the GPA requirement, but must still meet the ACT/SAT requirement. The scholarship pays tuition, mandatory fees, room and board up to $10,000 per year.

The Heisman High School Scholarship
The Heisman High School Scholarship presented by Acceptance Insurance is proud to continue its 26-year tradition of honoring the nation’s most esteemed high school seniors and supporting high school academic and athletic programs across the country. The program recognizes and rewards high school seniors who accomplish tremendous feats in the classroom, on the field, and most importantly, within their communities.
100 scholarships awarded.
The Heisman Trophy Trust and Acceptance Insurance are proud to reward male and female community-minded scholar-athletes at the state and national level.
88 State Winners receive a $500 scholarship.
10 National Finalists receive a $1,000 scholarship.
2 National Winners receive a $5,000 scholarship.
A-State Scholarship Programs
A-State will make Institutional Scholarship offers to 2022 High School graduates based on ACT/SAT and GPA. ACT/SAT super scores will be accepted for scholarhsips consideration (excluding A-State Scholar)

must submit all official high school and concurrent college transcripts
must submit all offical ACT, SAT test scores
must submit all immunization records

What the Scholarship Covers:
The A-State Scholar award provides up to $14,000 annually (split between Fall and Spring semesters), this includes up to $3,000 for on-campus housing and up to $3,000 for on-campus meal plan, with remaining award for tuition and fees.
Awards are contingent upon the availability of funding and housing scholarships are contingent upon the availability of on-campus housing.
Students who decline to live in an A-State Jonesboro residence hall will not receive the financial equivalent for off-campus living.
The scholarship pays for courses taken on the Arkansas State University-Jonesboro campus only.
This scholarship is awarded for the duration of eight consecutive semesters or through completion of the undergraduate degree, whichever occurs first, provided the student maintains all scholarship requirements.
How to Qualify:
The scholarship is awarded during the senior year to U.S. citizens who are graduating high school.
Students must be admitted to the university. This includes submitting an admissions application with fee, official ACT or SAT scores and official six -semester transcript.
Students must have a minimum ACT composite score of 32 and a high school minimum GPA of 3.500 on a six-semester transcript.
Scholarship deadline is December 1 of high school senior year and award letters will be mailed the third week of December. All awards are based upon state-supported available funds.
Scholarships are awarded competitively.
To be considered, students must be admitted to the university by December 1. Students must also submit a student resume, essay, and two reference letters. Your resume should include a listing of co-curricular high school activities, awards and recognition.
A limited number of awards are available.

Chancellor's Merit Scholarship
Annual award of $10,000 per year to National Merit, corporate, and University of Arkansas sponsored National Merit scholars
Awarded to Merit finalists who name the University of Arkansas as 1st choice to the National Merit Corporation

Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Chancellor's Scholarship
Annual award up to $8000 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Awarded to top candidates from the applicant pool
Chancellor's Community Scholarship
Annual award up to $5000 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Awarded to top candidates from the applicant pool who also have a demonstrable commitment to community service
Silas Hunt Scholarship
Annual award up to $5000 or $8000 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Awarded to students from underrepresented communities who have demonstrated outstanding academic leadership qualities and potential. Members of underrepresented communities include but are not limited to: students from underrepresented ethnic or minority groups, students with interest in a field that does not typically attract members of their ethnicity or gender, students who reside in an underrepresented county in Arkansas, and first-generation college students.
Advance Arkansas Scholarship
Annual award up to $4000 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year (27 hours during freshman year) and 2.50 cumulative GPA
Awarded to top students in the applicant pool with financial need as represented on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
Preference to first-generation college students
Honors College Academy Scholarship
Annual award up to $4000 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Awarded to top candidates from the applicant pool
Applicants do not need to be enrolled in the Honors College to be eligible
Award of an Honors College Academy scholarship does not constitute acceptance into the Honors College
Razorback Bridge Scholarship
Annual award up to $3500 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Awarded to students from underrepresented communities who have demonstrated outstanding academic leadership qualities and potential. Members of underrepresented communities include but are not limited to: students from underrepresented ethnic or minority groups, students with interest in a field that does not typically attract members of their ethnicity or gender, students who reside in an underrepresented county in Arkansas, and first-generation college students.
Students selected as Razorback Bridge Scholars will also participate in a peer and faculty mentoring program and are required to live on campus. Razorback Bridge Scholars will have opportunities to get involved in leadership activities on campus.
Leadership Scholarship
Annual award up to $2000 per year
Renewable for 4 years (5 years for Architecture students) with 30 hours per year and 3.00 GPA
Awarded to top candidates from the applicant pool
First-Year Advantage Scholarship
One-time award for the first year for students living in U of A housing up to $5,000
OR a one-time award for the first year for students living at home (within 60 miles of campus) up to $3,000
Need will be considered but not required

Honors College Academy Connection Scholarship
One-time award up to $4000
Awarded to top students in the applicant pool with a minimum 27 ACT or comparable SAT and with financial need as represented on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Applicants do not need to be enrolled in the Honors College to be eligible
Razorback Connection Scholarship
One-time award up to $3000
Awarded to top candidates from the applicant pool

ELKS MOST VALUABLE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP
The 2023 application is open.
Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
Eligibility:
Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
