Spalding / Spelling

• 30-Phonogram Test: Thursday, April 9

• Weekly spelling includes 30 new words + 10 review words.

• Spelling Pretest: Thursday, April 9

• Final Spelling Test: Friday, April 10

• Students who score 100% on the pretest do not take the final test.

Reading / Book Reports

This week’s story: “The Real Princess” (From Sea to Sea).

• Students received the story and vocabulary list on Friday.

• Reading and vocabulary Tests: Thursday, April 9 

• Due to the short vocabulary list, the vocabulary test is included in the comprehension test rather than as a separate test.

• Please return the story to the blue homework folder each day.

Language

This week we will:

• Write sentences using spelling words

• Language arts test Wednesday

Math

Saxon lessons 112-114 will be completed this week.

L112- Multiplying a 1-Digit Number and a 2-Digit Number

L113-Identifying Right, Obtuse, and Acute Angles; Naming Triangles by Angle Size.

L114-Measuring Line Segments Using Millimeters.

Review for Test-Thursday.

There will be a test on Friday.

Science

We will continue our unit entitled Exploring Matter.

We will begin a unit entitled A World of Many People
