Spalding / Spelling

• 30-Phonogram Test: Thursday, March 26

• Weekly spelling includes 30 new words + 10 review words.

• Spelling Pretest: Thursday, March 26

• Final Spelling Test: Friday, March 27

• Students who score 100% on the pretest do not take the final test.

Reading / Book Reports

This week’s story: “Harriet Tubman” (From Sea to Sea).

• Students received the story and vocabulary list on Friday.

• Reading and vocabulary Tests: Thursday, March 26

• Please return the story to the blue homework folder each day.

Language

This week we will:

• Write sentences using spelling words

• Adverbs

• Past, present, and future tense verbs

Math

Saxon lessons 105-107 will be completed this week.

L.105—Dividing by 3 and 4; Writing Multiplication and Division Fact Families; Identifying Perpendicular Lines and Line Segments

L.106—Adding Money Amounts to $99,999.99; Writing Checks for Money Amounts to $99,999.99

L.107—Acting Out, Drawing Pictures, and Writing Number Sentences for Division Story Problems

Review for Test-Thursday.

There will be a test on Friday.

Science

We will begin our unit entitled Exploring Matter.
