What are the times of the school day for Year 7 students?
At Outwood Academy Valley the school day is as follows:
08:10 to 08:15 - Meet and Greet
08:15 to 09:15 - Period 1
09:15 to 10:15 - Period 2
10:15 to 10:40 - Break
10:40 to 11:10 - Personal Development and Growth Session
11:10 to 12:10 - Period 3
12:10 to 13:40 - Period 4 (1 hour) (Split Lunch 30 mins)
13:40 to 14:40 - Period 5
14:40 to 15:30 - Enrichment
Year 7 students have their lunch as a year group, between 12:40pm and 1:10pm. This ensures there is minimal queuing time and that they can eat together in their first year at The Academy. The catering provided by The Academy operates a 'Pay Online' System. Parents must load student accounts from home. The Academy is cashless. Students are also welcome to bring a packed lunch and a healthy drink.
