At the very beginning of their time with us, Year 7 students are asked to complete the ACE Programme. The sequenced 12 hour programme, divided into bitesize sessions, aims to build what it means to truly be a student at Outwood Academy Valley.
ACE (Academy Conduct and Expectations) is a journey to the top of the Outwood Pyramid "It's who I am" which inspires students to achieve their very best throughout their time with us. The programme instills moral responsibility, safety, respect and develops the foundations for what it means to be extraordinary.
Students must complete the ACE Passport as they go through their first half term at Outwood Academy Valley, asking members of staff to sign their passport when they have demonstrated a skill. Once all 20 signatures are completed, the ACE Bronze badge will be given in a celebration event. Students are then tasked with working through both the silver and the gold passport, for badges and rewards.
