Sweetsearch-
Since 2009, SweetSearch has been the best place for students - and anyone else - to begin their research. It leverages Google to search only a fully vetted "whitelist" of websites.
Wolframalpha-
Their mission is to collect and curate all objective data; implement every known model, method, and algorithm; and make it possible to compute whatever can be computed about anything. Our work builds on the achievements of science and other systematizations of knowledge to provide a single source that can be relied on by everyone for definitive answers to factual queries. This site will also solve complicated math equations.
Research at the library-
These resources have been checked for accuracy by reliable experts and are provided by Massachusetts libraries. This includes Biography in Context and Opposing Views.
Wikipedia-
Wikipedia needs to be looked at closely for accuracy, but usually has the most current information and a long list of references for verification and cross-referencing.
Searching images-
Note-
