1. Write a story for your child! Involve as many sight words as you can. Make your child the main character. Don't be afraid to throw in some "challenge" words that are not on the list. Have them read it to you (if they do not know a word, they need to sound it out FIRST).
2. Have your child draw pictures of what is happening in your story.
3. Read the story to your child, as you get to a sight word, stop and have your child write it out on a paper.
Make this at home & become experts at sight words! Have your child read the word aloud everytime they color one. Use different sight words (from our list on the left) each time.
