We are living in unprecedented times and the difficulties revolving teachers learning how to teach in person and virtual has been a continual ongoing struggle. However, during my semester before student teaching, I read The Hybrid Teacher- Survival Guide by Emma Pass. In today's world, after reading this book, I feel more prepared to take on the challenge of virtual/hybrid teaching and I am very excited to see what the future holds.

The book was very honest and real, and it helped me gained insight on a lot of things I should and shouldn't do. Emma writes from first-hand experience and her personal stories--which is super helpful. I am not the most technological-inclined person ever, and I have learned so much. The information highlighted things I hadn't even thought of including diminishing/catching cheating online, self-paced learning techniques, and edPuzzle! All of which, I plan to utilize and implement into my classroom to make it easier and more exciting for my students to learn. The handbook included a lot of virtual tools to incorporate into your classroom (my favorites are below). I recommend this book to anyone who is going or currently teaching a hybrid or virtual class!
