I am an avid traveler, hiker, and all-around nature enthusiast. My love for the outdoors and experiencing new cultures has allowed me to learn about new cultures and their ways of life. I have had the amazing opportunity to study abroad during my college experience. I spent a semester studying in Seville, Spain. While in Seville, I tutored Spanish students in learning English as a second language. It was an extremely rewarding experience, and helped me realize my passion for teaching and helping others.

Throughout all these adventures, I was able to decide that the best path for my future is blending the two things in life which I am most passionate about. Thus, after jumping around in the major department several times, I have finally landed on Broadfield Science (Secondary Education) and Environmental Science and Conservation as my career path. I am planning on graduating in May 2021 with a certification to teach Early Adolescence-Adolescence (10-21).
Throughout all these adventures, I was able to decide that the best path for my future is blending the two things in life which I am most passionate about. Thus, after jumping around in the major department several times, I have finally landed on Broadfield Science (Secondary Education) and Environmental Science and Conservation as my career path. I am planning on graduating in May 2021 with a certification to teach Early Adolescence-Adolescence (10-21).
I chose to become a teacher in the middle/high school setting because it is a stage where the students are going through monumental changes physically, emotionally, and mentally. I know that I have a large influence on helping create their paths for the future. If I can provide a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment to help my students find a positive and motivating outlet that pushes them to be their best and to never give up, then I have succeeded in my goals.
