Important Note: Commitment requires prioritizing Program activities over other engagements, including personal vacations or extracurricular activities that conflict with the Program schedule. The NeuroNauts Program is funded by a grant through the National Institutes of Health; to fulfill our commitments to NIH, only students who can fully commit to the entire Program will be selected to participate.
Punctuality and Attendance: Students are responsible for arranging reliable transportation to and from the UWF Pensacola campus daily. Students must notify the Program Manager immediately of any unavoidable absence, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Engagement and Conduct: Students agree to actively participate in all academic, research, and training sessions. Students will also adhere to all UWF policies, including laboratory safety, data integrity, and respectful behavior. Students are expected to maintain a high level of academic and professional conduct throughout the Program.
Communication: Students shall maintain open, timely communication with assigned faculty mentors and the Program Manager regarding any issues that may affect their full participation.
UWF Community: As a NeuroNauts Scholar, you are an official member of the UWF community and must follow all university policies. To maintain the professional standards of this research environment, please note the following:
At-Will Participant: You will be an "at-will" participant, meaning UWF may end your participation in the program at any time.
Performance & Conduct: Participation may be terminated for poor performance, attendance issues, or failure to comply with laws and university regulations.
Other Factors: Participation may also end due to a lack of program funding or any other lawful reason.
Future Enrollment: Participating in this program does not guarantee future employment at UWF or admission into the university.
