Accountability is a tool for supervisors to state formal concerns with staff and find solutions.
Focusing on this framework as a development tool to improve staff performance is important over thinking of this as "getting them in trouble"
Consistency in upholding standards for your entire staff is important
There are five types of job performance documentation:
Coaching
Concern
Written Warning
Probation
Termination
Our department also holds staff accountable for falling under academic standards via Academic Probation
This type of probation impacts a staff member's ability to return or be considered for hiring in the RA position
What triggers Academic Probation
Going under a 2.5 total cumulative or semester UWF GPA
Two consecutive semesters of under 2.5 UWF GPA
Sometimes the conversation with the person involved or people impacted will need to happen first before determining the appropriate level of accountability
All documentation needs to be run past supervisors in the order below with copies provided to the RLC, AD, and HR Specialist.
Coaching (HD)
Concern (HD)
Warning (HD with it being edited by RLC)
Probation (HD and RLC with letter being edited by RLC)
Termination (HD and RLC with the letter being edited by AD)
This documentation will also be placed in their student employment file
No physical copies should be kept in HD or RLC offices
