Dear Students
As ICS, we support students to ensure that they have the best experience when it comes to participating in the Academic program. To this end, we allow the following:
1. Students can apply for a laptop. The cost of the laptop will be added to the student account, to be paid by the end of the current year. Unfortunately, you will not be considered if you received a device in previous years.
If you have any questions about your NSFAS status, please reach out to the UWC Financial Aid Department.
Apply by using your assigned UWC student email address ONLY to avoid possible delays.

2. Data for Students. For students who struggle with data on their devices, which impacts their ability to connect to the Learning Management System and other academic services, ICS has the following services available for you:
All core academic services are zero-rated by Mobile Network Providers, which allows you to access all study resources but not social media sites. This means that you do not need data on your device to be able to access iKamva.
In the case where you need access to other external services, you can connect to our OpenVPN service, where you are given a monthly data allocation of 5GB. This service can be accessed with your iKamva Username and Password. The link to the service is below:

The OpenVPN service is primarily targeted at students who do not stay at residence on Campus and who do not have access to the free UWC-Campus WiFi
