At departmental level
I have performed all my academic duties, including:
yearly coordination of LCS121, LCS222, and LIN737
coordinating the departmental seminar series
giving two presentations to the LIN701 honours students, one about time management as a postgraduate student, and the other about the process of conducting and writing a literature review (see top and center right).
in 2024, initiating the strategic management and coordination of LIN701, the department’s honours research module (see bottom right).
This involved creating a staggered submission schedule for components of the research essay throughout the year, which would facilitate communication and feedback between students and supervisors and promote a proactive approach to the research essay. Students are also supported with presentations from staff on each component of the research essay, followed by a workshop session in which students can ask questions, share problems, and engage in parallel work sessions.
At faculty level
the internal/external reviewing of MA & PhD proposals as requested by Arts Proposals
serving on the Arts Research Committee, and once on the committee for the recognition of prior learning
I have also begun making a contribution to the development of international institutional ties through the joint-degree arrangement for my PhD student between UWC and Utrecht University.
