Dr. Huber has participated in many aspects of professional leadership.
Dr. Huber plays a leadership role in departmental and faculty administration and takes responsibility for leadership.
Organization of 12 professional workshops for UWC students.
Member of the curriculum renewal committee for Applied Geology.
Serves on the Student Affairs committee for the faculty.
Dr. Huber is involved in departmental resource management initiatives, consistent with departmental strategic goals, including the development of resource-saving virtual field trips, and the reorganization of the field trip schedule for the department to be more cost effective. He has also organized the donation of rock samples, software, data, maps, and other learning materials from industry partners and from the South African Council for Geoscience.
Dr. Huber takes on staff development roles, including assisting with other staff members to process data for research projects, develop the network of other staff members, and review the curriculum of other courses in the department.
