ESRRC

Education Students' Regional Research Conference

Conference Overview

In the late 1990s, Jean Baxen and the late Prof Kevin Rochford who were both UCT academics, started what is known to us as the Education Students’ Regional Research Conference. The vision of these academics was to facilitate the involvement of students towards the development of a well-connected higher education system.

Academics such as Prof Aslam Fataar, and Drs Heather Jacklin and Cina Mosito, among others, have further guided and supported the ESRRC, contributing to its success.

The ESRRC provides a safe environment for postgraduate students from the four Western Cape Universities to share their research and work in progress at the annual conference. Each year a different university hosts the conference. University of the Western Cape is the proud host of ESRRC 2018.

Postgraduate students with interests focused within education, faculty staff and prospective students are welcome and encouraged to attend ESRRC 2018. The nature of the conference is one of support, providing a platform for students to present their research and receive valuable and constructive feedback.

ESRRC 2018 will take place on the 28th and 29th September 2018 at the the University of the Western Cape.
