Dates: 18-20 January 2020
Venue: Lecture theater PAA102, Department of Physics, University of Washington Campus, Seattle (Google Maps link).
Format: Most invited talks have 50 minute slots including time for discussion. These talks are open to all. Please register to get a badge and be able to partake of refreshments without feelings of guilt.
Workshop dinner: This will be on Sunday evening in the Walker-Ames Room, a short walk from Physics. Sorry, this is by invitation only as seating is limited. Please contact us for more information.
Accommodation: We have selected The Graduate Seattle hotel, which is 0.7 miles from the Physics Department. Book here online, or call them on 206.634.2000, to get our special group rate of $119 plus tax, including breakfast.
Travel: The hotel is a half hour taxi ride from Seatac airport (longer in the rush hour). There is also a Link Light Rail service direct from Seatac Airport to the University of Washington Station (14 stops, period 12 minutes, normally a 44 minute journey but presently a bit longer because it requires changing trains across the platform at Pioneer Square due to construction work). From that station it is an 8 minute walk to Physics or a 20 minute walk / 1.3 mile taxi ride to the hotel. (See bottom of page for a walking map).
Registration: Please fill out this form. It's free.
Organizing committee: David Cobden, Marcel den Nijs, Anton Andreev, Lukasz Fidkowski, Michael Smith
