Membership Information
Attendance Requirements:
Mondays (bi-weekly) and Saturday (twice) per quarter
2 excused absences per quarter. We must be contacted before the absence. No documentation/proof required.
If 2 or more meetings are missed for a given quarter, we will ask you to reconsider your membership.

Non-members will NOT be able to attend multiple meetings/provided the same opportunities.

What kind of events do you host?
We commonly host hands-on suture skill workshops, speaker panels, laparoscopy simulation workshops, general lectures on surgical topics, CPR certifications, virtual AI surgery and more!
Do I have to be pre-med to join SIA?
No! We are here for pre-PAs, pre-nurses, pre-surgical tech and pre-meds!
What opportunities or connections outside of SIA activities?
At any event where we have a speaker, you will have the opportunity to network. This is a great time to get contact information for shadowing and mentorship opportunities!
Does the SIA have leadership opportunities?
We do! Stay tuned because more information will be coming out!
