Anyone who has ever visited the University of Washington in spring knows that it is a truly magical place, with tens of thousands flocking to campus to appreciate the explosion of flowers. Amongst a profusion of blooms, the inflorescence of the Flowering Cherry trees stand out as extra special. Many are aware of the famous Yoshino Cherries of the UW Quad, but these lovely specimens are just one of several varieties of Flowering Cherry growing on campus.
