Professional Development Packages

Each professional development package includes presentations with embedded videos, hand outs, and activities for professional learning and coaching opportunities. More professional development packages are available on the EarlyEdU Media Library.

Early Learning PD Packages

These early learning professional development packages include presentations, videos, hand outs, and activities. They are organized by teaching strategy.

EarlyEdU Modules

These learning modules are highlights of higher education courses from the EarlyEdU Alliance®. Trainers and instructors can use these four modules for professional development or higher education classes. The modules range from one-and-half to three hours long.

ELO Two-Minute Tips

Two-minute tips are quick, simple, research-based strategies for ELO professionals. The tips focus primarily on strategies for working directly with children and youth, but also cover tips for program leadership and self-care. Each tip contains a short introduction, links the strategy to research-based outcomes, provides short practice tips for implementation, and a video of the strategy in action.

Course Samplers

The EarlyEdU Alliance competency-based courses in early childhood education combine theory and the latest research with students’ field-based learning. The conceptual framework that undergirds our approach is that of intentional teaching, which requires teachers to know what to do in the moment, see effective teaching in themselves and others, do these practices in the classroom, reflect on what works and what does not, and improve with thoughtful practices.

Nurturing Early Learning

This report describes the benefits of nature-based learning and outdoor play in connection with learning outcomes in children, as well as social-emotional and other development. It also provides strategies and practices for educators to facilitate outdoor learning.

We film conversations with researchers, educators, families, children, and other community members. We can edit interviews together, such as in Building Bridges: Families Engaging in the Transition to Kindergarten, to understand multiple perspectives of a topic.

Highlight Videos
