CORAL is the University of Washington software platform through which access to QT3 equipment is managed. In order to use any of the instruments in the Characterization Facility or to borrow any of our Portable Instruments, you must register as a user on QT3 CORAL.
When registering for QT3 CORAL as a UW student or employee, you will need the following:
Your UW NetID
Your principal investigator's name. Your PI will also need to sign an agreement as part of the registration process.
The worktag(s) you will be using for your rental fees. You can add multiple worktags and divide the charge percentages later
Completion of the following EH&S trainings:
Note: CORAL only checks EH&S records once a day, so it is recommended you complete these trainings prior to beginning registration
If you are a CORAL user already from another UW user facility, you will still need to complete this registration, but the PI/worktag fields should be filled in already.
