Overview: From 2012 until 2016, I was a non-voting member of UW's Department of Philosophy. After my position was regularized and I became a voting member of the faculty, I started participating in more service activities. For example, I've served on two job search committees, our curriculum committee, and our climate and diversity committee.
In 2022, I took on the role of Director of Graduate Studies (or Graduate Program Coordinator). In this role, I helped lead a review of our graduate program requirements. Results included revisions to the structure of our program that we believe will facilitate steady progress towards the PhD.
Recently, I've become more involved in professional service, including serving as Treasurer for HOPOS, and participating in mentoring programs for both HOPOS and the Philosophy of Science Association.
