Participants who:
Are 65 years and older
Have a diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis
Are willing to participate in virtual exercise classes and behavioral health or health education classes

Participants will attend Enhance Fitness classes for 4 months. Participants will then be assessed for outcomes 6 months later. Total participation is 10 months.
Wear an accelerometer on your thigh for 1 week at 3 different time points during the study.
Attend virtual Enhance Fitness classes 3 times a week for 4 months.
Actively participate in either Health Education or Behavioral Health classes.
Complete online surveys at 3 different time points during the study.

No, the PACIFIC Study will cover the cost of virtual Enhance Fitness classes. If a participant does not have videoconferencing technology to attend the virtual classes, they will be provided the equipment and support.
All study activities are held online or by phone. Study staff will distribute equipment through no contact drop offs.
Enhance Fitness is proven to be effective in improving physical function and decreasing falls risk, among other benefits. Participating in the PACIFIC Study will contribute to what we know about knee osteoarthritis pain and advance the development of more effective pain management strategies.
