Lodging

There are a range of lodging options, at different price points, available near campus. If these options seem overly expensive, we recommend indicating in your registration form that you would like to share housing—we can then try to match you with someone else wanting to share.

Lodging options, from most to least expensive:

Watertown Hotel (website). This hotel is an upper-end hotel as far as University District goes. It is located only ten VERY short blocks (0.4 miles) from the Burke Museum and UW campus (map here). College Inn (website). This hotel, which is only a block away from UW campus (map here) is known as a “European style hotel,” meaning that bathrooms are shared, but the owner has told us that they will be installing bathrooms in some of the larger rooms by February. Amenities include free WiFi, complimentary continental breakfast, daily housekeeping, in-room sink/mirror, being a non-smoking establishment.

We have negotiated a 10% discount on rooms, which tend to be ~$90-$120/night. To book rooms for May 1-3 (or longer) at this rate, please use the booking system on the website and reference “UW Conference.”

University Motel Suites (website). This motel, which is only five blocks from the Burke Museum and UW campus (map here) hosts suites with full kitchens, rather than rooms. They have only ~20 rooms, and 8 of those are 3 bed units, which means that several people can share them. Amenities include free parking, free WiFi, being a non-smoking establishment, access to laundry, daily housekeeping, family rooms.

We are not able to hold any rooms at UMS and there is no group discount. However, the prices are fairly affordable, starting at ~$85/night for a suite with two beds.
