We observed several distinct qualities of our neighborhood. For example, many people walk and bike within our neighborhood and there seems to be available public transportation such as a link stop and a bus stop. There were also large amounts of drug users congregating in the public park within our neighborhood. Housing seemed to be mainly apartment style dwellings located above businesses. Businesses were open and had customers however they weren't very busy and the streets seemed relatively empty although there were still a few people out and about. Chain businesses seemed to be much busier than small local shops. There was also a large amount of trash in some areas such as near the station and the park. We noticed that there were many herbal medicine shops. We also saw that there was a health insurance office that specialized with employees who spoke Mandarin, Korean, and Vietnamese. There were very few people using the sidewalks and the people that were seemed to be tourists. The people working in the shops did not seem to be physically unhealthy, but this is difficult to judge through observation alone.
