Rotem is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Washington's Information School. Her research focuses on pedagogical approaches aiming to support youth's critical thinking about computational technologies - artificial intelligence among them. Her current research is exploring the potential connection between youth's critical and ethical thinking to digital well-being.
Medha is the Senior Director of Research at the Joan Ganz Cooney Center at Sesame Workshop. She earned her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Michigan. Her work addresses the needs of the whole child, including considering individual differences among learners, their environments, and the media through which they learn. She currently leads the Cooney Center Sandbox, an initiative to center children's voices in the design of technology and media.
Riddhi leads the Technology, Media, and Information Literacy team at foundry10, and is an associate researcher in the Digital Technologies and Education Lab. In these roles, Riddhi is able to work at the intersection of research, educational programming, and philanthropy to ensure young people are equipped with the tools to safely, responsibly, and effectively consume and create with technology. She holds an M.Ed. in Measurement and Statistics from the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Washington College of Education.
Jennifer is a Senior Researcher and the Principal Investigator of the Digital Technologies and Education Lab at foundry10. She holds a dual Ph.D. in Psychology and Gender and Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan, where she explored how new media technologies mirror, magnify, and complicate self-presentation strategies for young people. Jennifer's current research examines the social implications of generative AI and social media for K-12 students, exploring how these technologies shape learning experiences and social dynamics in educational settings.
Azi is the CEO and founder of The GIANT Room co-design lab for families and schools. Currently, The GIANT Room is co-designing a suite of AI tools with students and teachers to support students' creative writing, collaboration, and AI literacy. In addition, through her work at The GIANT Room, Jamalian has partnered with more than 4000 schools, museums, libraries, and organizations such as the Joan Ganz Cooney Center, LEGO Education, Scratch Foundation, Sesame Workshop, and Lysol to provide community engagement, design, and learning programs. She has a Ph.D. in cognitive studies in education from Teachers College, Columbia University and is a TED speaker.
