We invite researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to participate in our workshop exploring strategies for designing AI technologies that enhance children’s digital well-being. The goals of the workshop are to (1) foster interdisciplinary collaboration exploring how AI technologies can be designed to enhance children’s digital well-being across diverse contexts, (2) develop practical guidelines for designers to create child-centered AI technologies prioritizing well-being, and (3) investigate what parents and caregivers should consider about AI technologies as they are increasingly integrated into children’s lives.
Participants from various disciplines and backgrounds are invited to submit short position papers related to their experience, plans, research, or evaluation of AI tools used by children.
Submissions may present current or past research projects, literature reviews, theoretical analyses, demos/work in progress/position papers, or previously published work. Position papers will be assessed for relevance, quality, and contribution potential to the workshop discourse. Diversity in disciplinary and sector representation will be prioritized.
All submissions are due on April 15th (now extended to April 22nd (AOE).
Submissions are up to 2 pages in length (excluding references) using the double-column ACM SIGCHI Paper Format (Templates are available on the ACM website (MS Word) or directly on Overleaf (LaTeX)).
Submissions should not be anonymized and uploaded via the Google form in a PDF format.
All submissions will be reviewed by the organizers, and accepted submissions will be posted on the workshop website.
At least one author of each accepted paper must attend the workshop.
