The cat tiles for the final puzzle have been sized (2” x 2” square tiles) so that you can order custom boardgame tile pieces. These tiles are more robust and easier to prepare.
If you choose this option, we have used BoardGamesMaker.com, which offers word-wide shipping.
The link to their 2x2 tile option is here.
Their standard 2x2 tiles have 48 tiles per sheet. The cat tile puzzle requires 7 tiles, which means that you’ll get 6 sets of tiles per printed sheet of cardboard tiles (with 6 blank unused tiles per sheet).
To place an order:
Click the “START YOUR DESIGN” button on the page linked above
Leave the number of tiles as 48 in the box that pops up and then click the “DIFFERENT IMAGES” (bottom-left corner button)
3. Click the Upload Images (red) button on the next page, and add all 7 of the numbered cat tile images from this folder to the project library. You may also want to Save these images to the library for easy reordering later. Once you’ve uploaded the images, the right side panel on that page should look like this:
4. Drag and drop the images from the right-side panel into the blank spots on the left side of that page, one at a time, into the first 7 boxes. Once you’ve done so it should look like this:
5. Skip the 8th box, and then fill the next 7 boxes (numbered 9-15) with those same 7 cat tile images. Boxes 7 through 10 would then look like this:
6. Repeat this process until you’ve filled in all of the boxes on the left with the tile images from the panel on the right, leaving every 8th box empty (8, 16, 24, 32, 40, and 48 will be empty when you’re finished). You may want to create an account with the supplier so that you can save the project (using the button at the top of the left-side panel). This will make it easy to re-order tiles in the future!
7. Click the blue “Next Step” button at the top of the page, and then click OK when you receive a warning message about having blank tiles in your design. You can then click “Next Step” again on the following page, since we don’t need to add any extra text to the tiles.
8. In the box that pops up, leave the 48 in the box and then click “the Same Text” button - the top button on the right side of the box.
9. You may pick whichever color you like for the tile backs. Just drag your preferred color from the panel on the right to the empty box on the left. We recommend this option:
10. Click the blue “Next Step” button at the top of the page, and then click “Next Step” again on the following page, since we don’t need to add any text to the backs of the tiles either.
11. On the next page you’ll want to look over the preview of the tiles in the set and go back and edit the order if you find any errors. Once you’re happy with the order, you may confirm it! The preview should look like this (repeated 6 times for the following tiles in the set):
