We are an electrochemistry group working on fundamental questions in electron-transfer chemistry, chemical reactivity at the interface, and ultrasensitive electrochemical sensing. A central goal of our research has been the study and better understanding of the electrode/solution interface. To that end, we develop and use powerful analytical and physical chemistry tools (e.g., optical microscopy, micro- and nanoelectrodes, nanopores, etc.) and methods to probe dynamic chemical behavior of molecules and nanoparticles at the chemical interface.
