Mendocino Chapter

Welcome to the Mendocino County Construction Corps (MCCC) website. The MCCC is a collaborative program which has been started by educators and business owners from Mendocino County in cooperation with the North Coast Builders Exchange. We are now part the North Bay Construction Corps (NBCC) (for more information, see website link at the bottom of this page). The NBCC is a five county consortium which is working in response to the current need for entry level construction workers. Read the attached article to learn more about the construction labor crisis, and many available employment opportunities in the field.

MCCC Is a four month construction training program for high school seniors. Participants will meet one evening a week, and one Saturday per month for the four months. At the end of the four months, participants will take part in a two week "boot camp" where they will practice the skills about which they have learned.

Participants who complete the four month training, and the boot camp will earn a $750 stipend. They will also be invited to a hiring day where contractors will interview candidates, and hire new employees. Many candidates last year started earning $17-$21 per hour!

All completers will earn up to 2 college credits, fork lift, scissor lift, first aid/CPR and scaffold erection certifications.
