Records of fee/charge imposed, payments transactions and adjustment of Tuition Fees, Residential College Fees, other academic charges and fines for a student during his/her study at UTM.
Not Applicable for UTMSpace students (Diploma & Foundation program). Not Applicable for Bachelor International Degree Program (IDP) students for Tuition Fees
The university portal or apps show you the fees/charges that have been debited from your account and the amount you owe. You can use these two options to pay as your preference and budget.

Pay through the UTMSmart app or MyUTM portal for automatic payment updates within 30 minutes (non-peak period). Processing time may be longer during peak periods (before or during the course registration period). Please pay early and avoid the last minute. You are responsible for any delay.
An official receipt will be sent to your registered email.
You can download a copy of the official receipt.
Barred status is automatically lifted once full payment is made.
A function allows students to modify the payment amount according to their financial ability.
Cash payment or the use of debit/credit card devices are not available at the Student Financial Section's counter. Payment methods such as cash deposit machines (CDMs), ATM transfers, or bank fund transfers are prohibited.

Generally, before mid-semester break end. The student account barring process will be commence afterward.
We do not offer payment in installments. However, you can choose how much you want to pay each time using our payment portal (MyUTM & UTMSmart Apps). You can adjust the amount to pay according to your preference and budget.
UTMSmart Apps & MyUTM portal: Payment update is within 30 minutes (non-peak period). Processing time may be longer during peak periods (before or during the course registration period). Please pay early and avoid the last minute. You are responsible for any delay.
Prohibited payment methods: A notification via email with a payment slip is required. Once notified and payment is received, it will be updated within 14 working days or longer
Student Account not updated? : Please email us (bendahari-ukp@utm.my) & attach the screenshot of the bank account that shows the payment has been successfully deducted. We will check further.
Please be informed that we have a policy of barring the accounts of students who have outstanding fees according to the following criteria:
If you are not sponsored by any organization, your account will be barred until you pay your fees.
If you are sponsored by an organization but the sponsorship money is transferred directly to your bank account, your account will be barred until you pay your fees.
If you are sponsored by an organization and the sponsorship money is transferred to UTM’s bank account, your account will be barred if you have any non-sponsorship fees that are unpaid.*
If you are sponsored by an organization and the sponsorship money is transferred to UTM’s bank account, your account will not be barred if you only have sponsorship fees that are unpaid.*
*Please note that UTM has the right to bar your account if your sponsor fails to pay your fees for more than two semesters.
We urge you to settle your fees as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience.
If you fail to settle your debts, the following actions may be taken:
i. You may be charged a late payment fee.
ii. Restrained from course registration.
iii. Restrained from submitting a Progress Report.
iv. Restrained from sitting for examinations.
v. Restrained from submitting your thesis/dissertation for oral examination (viva voce).
vi. Restrained from viewing exam results or any academic slips
vii. Restrained from applying for Residential College for the next semester.
viii. Suspended from studies.
ix. Expelled from the University.
x. Restrained from receiving the Senate Letter and attending the Convocation Ceremony.
xi. Restrained from receiving the Certificate and Academic Transcripts.
xii. Personal Bond is forfeited.
