Public Speaking
Public speaking is one of the most valuable skills that a person can have. By participating in public speaking contests, 4-H members learn a valuable life skills useful in college, military, or future careers.

4-H members may speak on any topic for grades 4 - 8.
4-H members are required to speak on 4-H for grades 9 - 12.
No visual aids or props are to be used for public speaking.
Time limits are:
4th grade 1 - 3 minutes
5th - 8th grade 2 - 7 minutes (this time may be adjusted for classroom contests)
9th - 12th grade 3 - 7 minutes
