Livestock Club

Cattle, Sheep, Goats and pigs... Oh My!

4-H Members work hard to raise high quality, healthy, happy livestock and horses. 4-H provides support of these educational pursuits and opportunities for youth to exhibit their livestock and horse projects.

The UT-TSU Extension office in Morgan County enjoys supporting 4-Hers and their families with educational material and assistance as they seek out and select the project animals and throughout the projects duration. Please contact our office for assistance.

4-Hers do not need to own animals to participate on the horse and livestock judging teams, the horse bowl and hippology teams or the livestock skillathon teams. All 4-Hers 4-12th grade are welcome! Educational activities will vary based on 4-Hers age and experience.

4-H members with cattle, sheep, goat or hog projects have the opportunity to get together to develop skills that support their livestock project. 4-Hers with livestock projects can also participate in various local, regional and state 4-H shows. Project Animals that the 4-Her wants to exhibit must be tagged and registered. Contact the Extension Office to find out more about this club and to get your project animals tagged and registered
