After a few years on hiatus, we are so excited to finally be bringing the Early Learning Institute back this summer! This website is where you'll find all you need to know about our event this summer, which will be updated as we have more details to share. Stay tuned, and we hope to see you in June!
It's no secret that the last few years have been challenging for all of us in the early childhood field. When thinking about the content for this year's ELI, we wanted to focus on what has helped us at the Early Learning Center dig out of survival mode and finally feel like we can revel in what brought us to early childhood in the first place: joy, connection, and purpose.
Join us this summer as we share stories and learning experiences centered around:
Holding tight to the strong foundations and principles of early care and education
Reclaiming and choosing joy in our work
Celebrating strong connections between educators, families, children, and communities
Refocusing our energy on our purpose in early childhood
We are so grateful to be able to bring our summer learning experience for educators back to our community and hope to see you in June!

As we relaunch our summer learning experience, we're experimenting with a new format! We hope this format will be supportive of program schedules while still offering participants what they loved about Early Learning Institutes in the past along with what folks have been asking for over the years. We're excited for participants to see our program in operation (a request many have had for years!), and offer engaging content via mini presentations/workshops, and self-guided learning opportunities. Because of the format of this year's Early Learning Institute, registration will be limited due to space restrictions.

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Location: Mossman Building, UT Campus

3:30: Registration
4:00: Welcome Session
4:55: Breakout Sessions
5:50: Breakout Sessions
6:45: Closing Session
3 training hours will be earned*

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: Mossman Building, UT Campus/Early Learning Centers
Schedule:
8:00 Registration
8:30: Opening Session (Mossman)
9:00: Open Classrooms & Scheduled Content
Participants are invited to observe classrooms while children are present at school as well as engage with scheduled content presented by ELC educators and program directors.
11:30: Closing Session (Mossman)
4 training hours will be earned*

Participants will have the option to customize their 2024 ELI experience by registering for just Thursday, just Friday, or both days!
Thursday Registration Fee: $50
Friday Registration Fee: $65
Both Days (same registrant only): $100
*Training certificates will be provided to attendees after the event's completion.

We truly cannot thank you all enough for joining us for our first ELI since 2019. It meant so much to us to have you all with us once again! Whether it was your first Early Learning Institute or your 6th, we appreciate you sharing your valuable time with us and for deeply engaging with the content our team prepared.
We chose joy, connection, and purpose as main themes for this year's ELI as that is what's been carrying us through the chaos of the last few years and has helped ground us once again. We're so glad that those themes resonated with so many of you and are hopeful that each of you has taken something away that will enrich your practice, feed your soul, or help you feel connected to others in our early childhood community. Again, thank you so very much for joining us and we hope to see you again at a future professional development experience at the Early Learning Center!
