This summer, we invite early education professionals to join us as we reflect on the power we hold—not just in practice, but in shaping childhood. This conference centers the strength, responsibility, and influence of early educators as both nurturers and thought leaders. Through dynamic sessions, workshops, and collaborative dialogue, we’ll explore how our image of childhood shapes our decisions, relationships, pedagogy, and environments. Join us as we deepen our understanding, celebrate our collective impact, and explore what is possible for children and those who care for them.
We are still building out the specifics for this summer's conference, but do have a sketch of what our two days together will look like below. We also invite you to check out last year's conference page to get a better idea of what to expect as the format will remain very similar due to the positive feedback we received from attendees. We will post regular updates to this site about the program as we have them!

Last year's conference focused on finding the joy in returning to our roots after the pandemic. We invited participants to join us to learn more about how our intentional focus on rebuilding strong foundations brought a renewed sense of joy, purpose, and connection to the work we do in early childhood. This year, we look forward to exploring the powerful nature of care and nurturing, investigating the ways our image of childhood shapes pedagogy and practice, and celebrating the impact early educators have on children and childhood.
We are still building out the program for this year’s ELI, but here are the themes we’re exploring and excited to share with you!
