The Student Society of Emergency Medicine is an emergency medicine interest group (EMIG) formed and maintained by medical students at McGovern Medical School. We are a nonprofit organization designated to facilitate, enrich, and expand the emergency medicine interests of its members by promoting access to practical skills sessions, emergency departments, and practicing emergency medicine physicians within the community. SSEM works to provide more information about the specialty and equip medical students with the information and resources to become active in the field of Emergency Medicine.
