This symposium will give post docs and students of all gender identities the opportunity to present their research. A limited number of openings for speed talks will be available as well as a poster session. Information and guidelines about each type of presentation can be found below. Please use the Abstract Template (Word file) to create your PDF document for upload during registration. Please save your PDF using the following format: LastName_FirstName_Abstract.pdf.
The poster session will allow presenters to showcase their research and engage in one-on-one discussions with other symposium attendees. These presentations typically utilize both text and graphics to engage the audience.
Poster Guidelines: Each horizontal poster board should measure 3 feet high x 4 feet wide (including frame). All posters should feature a title, your name, the name of the institution where the research was performed, and should credit other contributors, as appropriate. Use a crisp, clean design. All lettering should be legible from about 5 feet (1.5 m) away. Title lettering should be about 2" to 3" (5 to 7.5 cm). Subheading lettering should be 1/2" to 1" high (1.25 to 2.5 cm). Text lettering should be approximately 24 points (1/4" or .625 cm). Make illustrations simple and bold, with captions at least 3/8" high. Enlarge photos, tables, and charts to show pertinent details clearly.

Selected applicants will have the opportunity to present a very concise 15 minute presentation of their research. The intent of these presentations is to encourage students to efficiently convey the main points of the research as well as intrigue the audience to visit the poster for more information.
