Welcome!
I am an Associate Professor and Graduate Advisor in the Department of Kinesiology & Health Education at the University of Texas at Austin. I am also a faculty affiliate in the Center for Sports Communication & Media. Previously, I served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida from 2012 to 2019.
I have published more than 50 papers and book chapters on the economics and management of sports leagues and related industries, in both sport-specific and general interest journals in the areas of economics, law, business, and management strategy. My work has been featured in a wide range of media outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, ESPN, and National Public Radio, among others.
I serve on the editorial boards of the Journal of Sport Management (2019 - Present), Sport Management Review (2016 - Present), and the International Journal of Empirical Economics (2022 - Present). I am also an Associate Editor at the Journal of Sport Management.
