Get Involved!

You're invited to join STRONG Tuesday nights from 8:30-9:30PM in St. Mother Teresa room at the UCC!

Our Members!

All STRONG members are college students overflowing with Christ's love. Each member of STRONG dedicates themselves to being the best example of a faithful Catholic as possible. Our primary goal is to set a good example for youth within the Austin Diocese!

All STRONG members have their Ethics and Integrity in Ministry certification. Please email strongteam@utcatholic.org if you're interested in joining STRONG and need to be EIM certified.

The Diocese of Austin requires any volunteer who works with minors (including all STRONG members) to obtain Ethics and Integrity in Ministry certification.

The EIM program is designed to prepare adult volunteers for working with the most vulnerable in our church: the youth. The class outlines warning signs to look for when a child might be in danger, diocesan policies, as well as federal laws regarding the procedures for reporting suspected child abuse, and how to compassionately nurture and interact with children who may have experienced some form of mistreatment. An EIM certification lasts for three years until a renewal is needed.

Apply here (You must be 18 years or older to apply.)

"Our program [EIM]... was borne out of recognition that the church must first be a protector of all God's children. The image of Jesus saying to his apostles, 'Let the children come to me' (Matthew 19:14), is a powerful one that should be echoed in all that we do for the Church."

— Gregory Aymond, former Bishop of Austin
