Sunday- 1th october. Time for group meeting in the Czech Republic, Bánov. Long time for travelling. Started already at 0430 o´clock at school. Nice to have breakfast at the airport. The parents met us at Bánov and then every pupil disappeared to their hostfamilies except the teachers who stayed at a hotel in Uhersky Brod.
Monday- 2th October. Today we showed our video that pupils have made by their own. We made nametags and had a short presentation of ourself. We had lots of different collaborative exercises. The school canteen was very noisy. Today we were served vegetable soup, pickled cucumbers, potatao with z. It tasted okay.
In the afternoon we went for a citywalk with a questionnaire. The view was fantastic!
Thusday- 2 October. High-Tech center in the morning, Uhersky Brod. We produced our own radio receivers, programmed robots, wordriddles with QR-codes. We also watched 3D movies. The high-tech center was part of a school where other schools could book themselves.
Lunch at hotel. Hotpot and rice. New taste of drink- vinea. Nice! Not as sweet as normal soda.
Short walk in Uhersky Brod. In the afternoon we visited Komensky museum. They say he is the father of European cooperation in pedagogy between countries. Now it´s Erasmus+, but before it was Comenius. It was named after him. Komensky was born in this town. After the museum lots of girls from the group went to a pancakeplace. The Swedish pupils had been there on monday.
Wednesday- 3rd October. We visited a zoo in Zlin. They said it was the second largest zoo in the Czech Republic. The students didn´t like that the animals were caught and that they should have bigger cages or hedges. They reintroduce certain animals in their original environment after breeding, which in some parts make it more accepted. We ate at a restaurant in the Zoo. We hade chickenschnitzel with potatao.
All of our Swedish girl got the oportunity to try the traditional costumes! How nice they look!!! The hostfamilies had rented it for the evening.
Thusday- 4th October. We have been at school to day. We had tree different groups in the morning. 1=painting, 2=cooking, 3=singing/dancing. They students made a good job! For lunch we had a very funny combination! What do you think of getting pasta, smetana and strawberrysauce?! Well, we have to Open up for new things today!
We planted an ornamental tree of lind.
We had sportactivities in the afternoon, for example football, volleyball and/or skittles (similar to bowling).
Friday- 5th October. This week has really gone fast! Last day ... We had science and mathematics in the field. We measured the depth of vision, temperature, pH at one station. On another station we worked with meteorology / hydrology. We also had measurement of tree height and age determination of trees etc.
The only thing left- we looked at at video that Bánovs old students had made during this exchangeweek. Jiri and Petra gave us our diploma. THANKS CZECH REPUBLIC!
Time to start the long journey back to Sweden! Down-and-out after a giving week!
