Early Intervention/Early Childhood

Is your infant or toddler showing signs of delay in different development areas? Do they need support as they prepare to go to preschool and/or kindergarten? These resources can help you get the supports and services they may need.

At Alpine School District, our goal is to provide a high-quality educational preschool experience that will prepare your children for their future. We teach all children (ages 3-5) together, regardless of ability level. We celebrate children’s similarities as well as their different abilities and cultures.

The Alpine School District Early Childhood Assessment Center is committed to locating and identifying children ages 3-5 who have disabilities, as defined by Individuals with Disabilities Education Act 2004 (IDEA).

Early intervention is the process of anticipating, identifying and responding to concerns about a child’s development to minimize potential adverse effects and maximize healthy development. While all infants and toddlers learn at their own pace, some may need extra help to develop certain skills.
