ES 1:   I will explore different methods of communication.

CFA 1:  Quiz- Communication Skills 101

Learning Targets:

• Describe each stage of the communication process.

• Characterize different forms of communication including the use of verbal and nonverbal signals.

• Practice skills that lead to effective communication.

ES 2:  I will understand and apply critical thinking and problem-solving techniques.

CFA 2:  Quiz - Digital Citizenship

Learning Targets:

• Define Digital Citizenship

• Identify components of a digital footprint and its lasting impact.

Extensions:

When students demonstrate mastery of the ES, they are allowed to progress through the remaining concepts at their pace.  They are able to finish the course early if they show mastery of these concepts.  “

Interventions:

When students are not mastering the ES, I can reset the instructional section of their work.  Depending on the situation, I can meet with them in my online classroom to help them through their work.  Most often, once we have identified the problem, it has been effective in making a tutorial for students to help guide them in their work or clarify confusing concepts.  Other times I have created alternative assignments or assessments for students who are needing to demonstrate their knowledge in a different way.
