Welcome to 11th grade Language Arts! I am so thrilled to be your teacher this year. I can't wait to get to know you more :)

Although I have spent most of my life in sunny Southern Utah, I was born in the Uinta Basin area, where I often go to visit family. I attended college at Utah Tech University, and earned an additional certification in school library media from Southern Utah University. After gaining my degree in English Education, I started my teaching career as a 7th grade teacher, and have worked in a middle school library as well. I am so passionate about the endless oportunities created for students by the world of online education, and I am thrilled to be joining Utah Online School this year!

I love the red rock of Southern Utah, and I spend a lot of my weekends rock climbing or hiking with my boyfriend. I also love being creative! Trying new artistic mediums is one of my favorite things to do. I paint, embroider, bake, sew... there isn't a type of craft that I won't enjoy trying!

Please never hesitate to reach out to me though email, call, text, or schedule a time to meet with me over Zoom! I am looking forward to getting to know you throughout the year as we read, learn, and grow together!
