Weekly Announcement

Fall Week 4

Hello Amazing Students,

This is a pep talk to help you understand how important it is that you give your course consistent attention EVERY WEEK!  If your grade is lower than you would like or if you are behind, please put in extra time to get on pace and maintain it.  If you are ahead, keep going and  finish early!  It’s not too late to earn the grade you want in your course.  Work hard and earn a grade that you can be proud of!

If you have questions or if you need help with anything as you work in your course, please let me know!  The best way to reach me is via email at kehlers@utahonline.org.  Remember, you are welcome to work ahead of pace and finish your class early!

Tips for success:

• Check your grades and feedback regularly on Canvas. 

• Submit work early so you have time to revise.

Important Dates

Monday, September 7th  – Labor Day (optional work day)

Friday, October 9th – End of Quarter 1

The last day to submit coursework in quarter-length courses is Friday, October 9th 

The last day to submit coursework in semester-length courses is Friday, December 11th

If you haven’t already, complete the welcome unit to set yourself up for success and to stay on pace.  Please keep in mind that the UNIT PROJECTS will need more time to be completed. Let’s work hard to not fall behind! 🙂

FALL WEEK 1 

Hello!

WELCOME to Language Arts 11! My name is Miss. Ehlers and I am so excited to work with you this year. I  made a quick video for you to watch as we start out this amazing year- please watch HERE! 

You will hear from me a lot this semester, and I can’t wait to get to know you! Just a quick reminder about two essential habits for success in Language Arts!

1. If I send you an email or text, please READ it and respond. 

   • Communication is KEY in this class! 

2. If you are ever confused or have a question, please reach out to me ASAP with the following information: 

   • Your full name

   • The class you are in (quarter 1, semester 1, etc)

   • If you have a question about a specific assignment, please include the full assignment name

   • And of course, your detailed question or concern. Screenshots are highly appreciated and will save us both so much time and effort!
