An integral part of earning language arts credit is demonstrating proficiency in reading, writing, language, and speaking & listening skills. This course provides a variety of opportunities for students to illustrate these important skills on common formative assessments (CFAs) and end-of-unit assessments/projects, which assess proficiency in the Essential Standards for the course.
Please note that end-of-unit assessments/projects are worth 55% of a student’s overall grade in all UOS Secondary Language Arts core courses. It is important to complete and earn a passing grade on end-of-unit assessments/projects to earn credit in this course.
