Progress and Attendance
Attendance
180 days of attendance is required each school year. (It helps to plan out your school schedule for the year with a calendar!)
When you submit an assignment in Bright Thinker, an attendance day will automatically be recorded.
Working offline, then getting online to take the quizzes/tests in Bright Thinker and passing them, helps me know your student is making consistent, continual progress.
Progress
Progress should be continual and consistent. Continual means it is always increasing. Consistent means learning is happening every day.
10% progress is expected each month.
You should have a minimum of 90% progress by the end of the school year to be considered complete.
Some programs are based on usage and not progress. (For example. Rosetta Stone, Typing Agent, etc. are considered an exploratory course.) In these courses, we look for consistent use as the gauge for progress.
If you are struggling to make progress, Mrs. Everett will make a plan with you to get on track.
