Professional Reading & Writing GVC's

GVC stands for "Guaranteed Viable Curriculum." These skills are the objectives we plan on mastering during this course.

Course Objectives (Taken from the Utah State Core)

Throughout the course, you will meet the following goals:

• Students will demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English grammar and usage when writing or speaking.

• Students will produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.

• Students will present information such that listeners can follow the line of reasoning and the organization, development, substance, and style are appropriate to purpose and audience.

• Students will assess their interest and aptitudes and explore related career options.

• Students will identify postsecondary education and training opportunities through Utah technical colleges, community colleges, universities, and industries.

• Students will develop personal characteristics that promote responsibility, dependability, productivity, high-quality work, and self-initiative.
