In Business Management, students will gain an understanding of the law and its implications. They will also work to gain an understanding of basic legal vocabulary. The course will include an understanding of the court system at the local, state, and national levels, contract law, their rights, and responsibilities as citizens, utilization of financial transactions, employment and agency relationships, and regulations governing different types of business organizations.
Marketing explores the seven core functions of marketing: Marketing Planning, Marketing Information Management, Pricing, Product/Service Management, Promotion, Channel Management, and Selling. Students will utilize knowledge in hands-on projects.
The careers course prepares students to make informed decisions about their future academic and occupational goals. Through direct instruction, interactive skills demonstrations, and practice assignments, students learn how to assess their own skills and interests and explore industry clusters and pathways. The course is designed to provide flexibility. Specific career units will be selected by each student to comprise the course and meet each student’s skills and interests.
